DiTR Pitch - What to do
You need to prepare a pitch of your planned production to DiTR. The pitch should be presented as a group with each member having a clear role (everyone needs to talk). You should use either PowerPoint or Prezi to present the information. The presentation should last between 5 and 10 minutes and you should allow for time for a Q&A.
You should be clear what your idea is for the music video.
· Who you are - what your interests and strengths are
· Who the band are - use the sheet on Google Drive
· What structure and form will the production be?
· What conventions will you employ? (link to Andrew Goodwin)
· What techniques will you use?
· What similar productions will it look like? Link to existing productions
You really need to sell your idea!
Make sure your use of technology is effective and you need to be able to speak clearly and present your information with clarity. This will gain you marks for unit 2 Communication skills.
Remember to practice and do multiple run throughs!!!

Contextual study: A reminder
Contextual study deadline is on the 24th March, which gives you 16 days (as of 8/03/16).
You will have a couple more lessons to work on this.
You will have a couple more lessons to work on this.
- Guaranteed date: Wednesday 15th - Peer feedback. We will use the checklist that you went through with the merit exemplar.
- We want to be able to check your script, parts of your essay or see a rough cut of the sequence (depending what format you chose to use). You will also have the work peer reviewed.
- This is essential, as it gives you time to make improvements before the final submission.
You should be going through the previous post and responding to each section, this lays out exactly what I expect your contextual study to contain.
Remember you need to be using web sources, books, journals, mediamagazine, mediaknowall and accurately referencing them.
On the 13th (three-hour lesson) we will start preparing our pitch for DiTR and will select groups for the bands.
